Built By Me is a professional hands-on learning center for children K-8. We are dedicated to providing classes, workshops and special events in the field of coding, robotics, digital making, desktop manufacturing and more. We utilize only safe equipment however it is advised to supervise meticulously when you use it.
General Notice
Terminology applicable to these specific Terms and Conditions, as well as any and all Agreements based thereupon, is as follows:- “The Customer”, “Member”, “Your” and “You” refers directly to you, as the individual making use of this website, and the individual who accepts these Terms and Conditions.
Built By Me shall henceforth be referred to as “Company”, “Website”, “Us” and “We”.
The purpose of this document is to outline and govern the relationship between you and us. Your use of and access to this website, as well as the services and products it offers (known collectively as the “Services”) is subject to the notices, terms and conditions detailed below (known collectively as the “Terms of Service”). Your use of the Services constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Service, which may from time to time be updated by us as needs dictate.
We provide access to this website on a temporary basis. Our right to amend or withdraw the Services at any time without notice is reserved. Breaching these provisions is an offense, and it is the right and obligation of Built By Me to report breaches to law enforcement agencies. If we deem such reporting necessary, we have the right to divulge your identity as part of the report.
Eligibility
Your presence on and use of this website is your statement and confirmation that you are minimum 13 years of age, and have never previously been blocked, banned or suspended from the Site. You additionally state and confirm that:- (1) the information submitted by you for registration purposes is 100% accurate; (2) you will maintain the accuracy of the information you submitted, and will notify us as soon as you change the information; or (3) you will not violate the policies and regulations listed in the agreement. You confirm that if your country’s laws prohibit your use of this site under these Terms, you will not use it.
Furthermore, you state that you will not, under any circumstances, make use of this website for illegal activities, listed as without limitation finance of terrorism, sponsorship of violent activities, extortion, data ransoming, blackmail, fraud, money laundering or illegal gambling.
As a user/ member, you will be liable for updating or maintaining your personal information. You agree that you will be responsible for the confidentiality of your username and password details. In the event you suspect any unauthorized activity under your account, please inform us immediately.
Content Submitted By Users
We do not claim the authorship or ownership of the content posted by our members, however, if something is posted on the website, the users grant us a perpetual, non-exclusive and royalty-free access to use the content (text, images or videos) as advertising or marketing purposes. We reserve the rights to use, modify, reproduce or distribute the content in any form. You represent and warrant that you have the all the rights to the content you post, and by sharing, using or posting this content publicly, we will not violate or infringe third party rights.
Notices
We may notify our users by posting a notification on our website or by sending an email. The notices will become effective as soon as we post them on our platform, or send you an email. As a user, you acknowledge that you agree to the clause, and it is your responsibility to read the notices. Cancelation Police
Classes and Workshops: In case a student wants to cancel a class or workshop, he/ she must inform us at least a week before the class starts to receive a full refund. If a student contacts us less than a week prior to the start date, you will receive a 50% refund. After the classes start, no refund will be offered.
Camps: In case a student withdraws from a camp 2 weeks before the classes start, a full refund will be offered, provided the camp is not full at the time of cancellation. In case a student withdraws one week prior to the classes, we will offer a 50% refund. After a program starts, no refund will be granted. In the event a camp is fully booked at the time of cancellation, we will issue a credit for future use, only if we are able to fill the space. You can send cancellation requests via email to makers@builtbyme.com.
The users understand that we reserve the rights to cancel a camp or class in case the enrollment requirements are not met, and we will issue a full refund to students who signed up for the classes/ camps.
Makeup classes
Students may participate in another class or may utilize Maker’s Club to make up the missed classes. Please get in touch with us to know more about the makeup options. The user understands that the makeup classes for missed days are available on a case by case basis.
Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights pertaining to content (including images) and software available through the use of this Website remain with Built By Me or licensors thereof, and are protected by global copyright treaties and laws. We reserve these rights. Permission is granted to you for storage, printing and display of the content for personal use, by you, only. You are prohibited from publishing, distributing, manipulating or otherwise reproducing the content of this website in any format for any purpose. You are prohibited from using the content for business or professional purposes.
Liabilities and Disclaimers
All material displayed by this website is not covered by any warranty, conditions or guarantee regarding its accuracy. We never store information that would be deemed as financially sensitive, such as debit or credit card numbers, security numbers or bank details. If you provide payment details to us online, we do not have sight of any financial information that you enter.
If you make payment to us on a telephone call, using a bank card, we still do not store the financial information you provide; it is entered directly onto the payment provider, which is an online service. This is compliant with the thorough annual checks mandated by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
You are also required to submit name, phone number, email address, address, emergency contact, medical care needs for children, and credit card information on Sawyer website.
What we do with your information
The information that we take from you helps us better understand and serve your needs. It is retained for internal record keeping, regulation and audit trail purposes. The information may also be used to assist us with the improvement of our services and products.
Occasionally, we may send out emails containing promotional material for special offers, new products, or other information we believe could be interesting to you. These will be sent to the email address you provided us with. All promotional emails we send out contain an opportunity to unsubscribe, should you not wish to receive any more.
Our website utilizes cookies to improve a user’s navigation experience. These cookies do not harm your computer in any way.
Photo/ Media Consent
Built by Me reserves the right to use photographs and videos students and parents post on our website and on social media for training and promotional proposes. If a parent does not want to grant the consent, they can contact the learning center representative and we will remove the image/ video from our training and advertising materials.
Taking control of your information
We never pass personal information about you to any third party unless you grant us permission, or the law requires it of us. We only share information with MailChimp and Sawyer. You have the ability to restrict the usage or collection of your personal data. You can exercise this by unsubscribing from email using the links provided within the emails or emailing us directly to request your removal from marketing mailing lists.
You can request to see all the information we hold about you at any time by sending an email to makers@builtbyme.com. You can also request that the data we hold for you us amended or updated at any time, also by contacting the same email.
